McAllen Citizens League elected Directors for its 50th fiscal year

 

On May 28, 2009  McAllen Citizens League elected Officers and Directors for its 50th fiscal year. Daniel Tanguma, Carlos F. Garza, Priscilla M. Hinojosa and Blanca Cardenas was the new elected to the board, and the members re-elected Christopher Julian as President, Judge Ernest Aliseda as 1st Vice-President, Gary Rodriguez as 2nd Vice-President and Emilio D. Santos as Treasurer.

            

             Sheriff Lupe Trevino was the guest speaker at the noon luncheon meeting of the McAllen Citizens League where the league elected new board members.  The Sheriff’ spoke about “Border Violence” and addressed issues such as Rhetoric vs. Reality, Border Violence vs. Violence Spillover and Hidalgo County based gangs’ affiliation with Mexican Drug Cartels.
