April 27th Meeting

The McAllen Citizens League will host the contested McAllen City Commission race at its noon lunch meeting on Thursday April 27. Both candidates for District 2, Incumbent Trey Pebley and challenger Joaquin Zamora, have confirmed their attendance. “This will be the last political forum we’ll host prior to the May 6th election,” said Christopher Julian, League President. The League’s forum format allows each candidates two minute opening comments then a one follow-up/ rebuttal. After all candidates have spoken, questions from League members will be asked.
The meeting is open to the public and lunch is available for $12 for members & $15 for non-members. Membership in the League is only $10 per year. Go to www.McAllenCitizensLeague.org for more information.
